Pilates for the waist

The great thing with Pilates is that, it allows you to work on some muscles you didn’t even know existed until the pain kicks in the next day! This week we are focusing on the ones around our waist!
Of course we all know about the obliques “side abs”, the muscles that help you twist your torso from a side to another. But what most of us don’t know is that we have 4 of them : the external and the internal obliques. The internal obliques are the ones that run deeper and therefore are a little harder to work on.
This workout covers it all so you will definitely feel your obliques.
Why do us ladies love working on our obliques so much? Because it gives us a tighter waist, therefore a very sexy figure. And who doesn’t want to look and feel beautiful and confident?
This obliques workout, is under 10min therefore will be easy to incorporate in your daily routine.
Now let’s be honest. NO MATTER how much you do this workout, if the rest of your lifestyle especially your diet doesn’t follow, you won’t get the results you want.
1-Eat well (meaning healthy and balanced diet for your body type). I don’t believe in junk food nor clean eating. Find what works FOR YOU and stick to it.
2-Drink a lot of water
3-Exercise regularly.
Fad diets, Pills, magic potions won’t work. You need to put in the work. And there is no way around this one.
I think it’s great to have weekly or monthly themes when it comes to workouts. Maybe this week you want to emphasise your workout a little more on your waist so you will incorporate this to your daily workout routine.
It doesn’t really matter if you have never practiced Pilates before, this workout is fairly gentle, and designed for beginners, so you will be able to add this at the beginnning or end of your boxing, running, or gym session.
