Roasted Turmeric Cauliflower with Pomegranate and Almond Flakes

Turmeric

Trumeric is a must have!

Why?  Because it is known as one of the most powerful plants on the planet, making it A VIP superfood. For centuries, Indian and Asian Populations have been using this powerful plant to alleviate depression and help with digestion, heartburns and many other health issues. Many Naturopaths and Ayurvedic practitioners recommend a regular Turmeric intake to keep the doctor away. Though this has not  been scientifically tested on humans, Laboratories studies suggest that Curcumin (main active ingredient of Turmeric) may help prevent or treat some forms of cancers as well as Alzheimer. But before sharing today’s recipe with you, here are the 3 noticeable things that have changed for me, since I started using Turmeric 2 years ago
  • It has lifted my mood, and keeps it up especially when I have it in the morning (Tea, Smoothie or Juice)
  • I very rarely have cold or flus (1 in 2 years, as opposed to 2 a year)- Stronger immune system
  • Improved digestion
Sadly Turmeric can also have side effects so make sure to contact your doctor before introducing it to your diet.

This side dish, is so yummy, easy to do, and will impress your guests! Also a great way to get the kids to eat more veg! They will love the yellow colour and the sweetness of the pomegranate!
