A grounding Pilates flow to start the day mindfully

Setting an intention for the month of September is something I do often to give things a fresh start. Kids are back to school, summer is almost over and the change of weather is a great time to check in and see how I feel and wanna feel in the months to come.

 

We have been navigating through unprecedented times, traumatic for some, challenging for most and with that come intense emotions and energies. Taking a step back to acknowledge your feelings, let them go and cultivate a positive and grounded energy will help you feel lighter.

Setting intentions and feeling grounded this September

Feeling grounded in ourselves will always serve us when we face change and or adversity. Strong roots help us respond to threat and challenges in a calmer and more rational way.

So for September I invite you into my personal practice of setting an intention to ground ourselves, to connect deeper to our inner self and to take a few minutes to create the energy we want to see in ourselves and in the rest of the world.

A journal prompt for you today is to tune in and answer the questions below:

  1. How have I been feeling the past few months? How Am I feeling now?
  2. How do I want to feel? What energy do I want to carry around and share with the world?
  3. What is getting in the way of me feeling that way? What will help me feel that way? 
  4. What can I do today to start feeling that way?

Promoting grounding and deeper connections

Two of the main things I remove from my daily life when I am working on grounding myself and connecting deeper to myself are social media, and foods that lower my energy.
