This smoothie is my go to secret weapon, it is so simple to add to my day that I repeat this whenever I need a boost in my complexion. Trust me your skin will LOVE this smoothie.

It’s packed with Vitamin C and Collagen and by having these in your green smoothie once a day for 3 to 4 weeks you will be nourishing and treating your skin from the inside out.

Four benefits of Collagen

  1. Hair and nails

Collagen protein is what makes your nails and hair strong and healthy. As we age our natural levels of collagen decline, so adding this to your diet will help your body keep providing the right levels to keep your hair regenerating and your nails from becoming brittle.

  1. Skin health

Collagen will improve your body’s ability to repair and renew cells. This can smooth and firm your skin making it look younger as collagen is integral in skin elasticity which decreases sagging and wrinkles.

  1. Cellulite and stretch marks

Thinning of the skin and reduced elasticity are key factors in the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. By adding collagen to your diet you will be helping to combat both of these which can lead to a noticeable reduction in their appearance.

  1. Leaky gut

With the help of the Amino Acids present in collagen your body can start to heal your gut’s lining by regenerating the connective tissues. If you suffer from leaky gut syndrome, collagen could really benefit your gut!
